Alice has extensive experience with advising countries, institutions, organisations and companies in Asia on matters related to competition policy and consumer protection. She had more than 10 years working in the non-profit sector, before starting out as an independent researcher and establishing her own consulting company. Alice has authored numerous articles, research reports, market studies, policy briefs, discussion papers, etc on consumer protection, competition policy, trade and investment climate, etc and has spoken at various national, regional and international events and conferences. She is familiar with project management & evaluation.
Duyen possesses a LL.B from Hanoi Law University and a Master Degree on International Trade Policy and Law from Foreign Trade University, Vietnam. Prior to joining APCO as a research associate, she has worked for five years with CUTS International – a premier think-tank on trade policy, economic and social governance headquartered in India. Duyen is conversant with legal & social science research, as well as identifying and analysing competition distortions and consumer abuses. She also contributes to external stakeholder relations, project management and organising events.
